Surplus premiums are returned to the employer at the end of a reconciliation period or held in a reserve account to fund future monthly premiums. A Health Spending Account (HSA) is an alternative to a traditional group insurance plan. HSA’s add an extra layer of coverage providing employees with flexibility in choosing how to fund additional benefits over and above the limits within a traditional program. Group RRSP and Pension Plans
